Room was clean and well-maintained.
I couldn't believe how filthy the carpet was! It looked old and dirty, and the entire facility lacked charm and maintenance. The noise from the highway was unbearable, making it hard to sleep.

Does it deliver?
Friendly owners and convenient access to the ferry! The nostalgic atmosphere made for a unique vibe.
Old furnishings, and pervasive signs of neglect. Signs of mold and lack of maintenance were quite concerning.

Budget travelers may tolerate it
The owners are nice and always around to help, even when I had a minor issue with my room. The cleaning service was prompt, and they even left us a tissue pack when we made a mess from our trip.
It wasn’t inexpensive, but I suppose it was alright considering the circumstances.

average stay , but room was spacious
The King Room I stayed in was slightly larger than average, providing a bit more room to move around. The retro decor added a unique charm to the space that I appreciated. The staff were polite, making check-in easy and quick. Overall, the room felt well-maintained, which contributed to a pleasant atmosphere. I enjoyed the cozy vibe that the decor provided, making my solo stay more enjoyable.
The Wi-Fi connection could use improvement, as it was inconsistent at times.

We enjoyed a lovely stay with our grandchild, especially at the Ventura Pier, which is nearby and perfect for families. The room was spacious and tidy, making it the ideal spot to unwind after a long day of exploring.
In my wife’s opinion, a pool would enhance the family experience.

While the overall cleanliness of the room was admirable, several amenities like the ice machine and guest laundry were broken during the visit, which was a letdown. Additionally, the lack of dining options nearby left little to choose from if you were looking for a quick bite without venturing far.

Comfortable stay with a nostalgic vibe
I enjoyed my stay in a clean King Room that had a nostalgic decor, making it feel cozy and inviting. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we felt welcomed. However, I would have appreciated having more towels available as there was only one washcloth provided for our stay.
